TASTING NOTES
Produced from Certified Heritage Vineyards planted between 1979 – 1984.
Enchanting light gold hues, followed by inviting aromas of marmalade, citrus peel, bruised apple, peach, apricot, and ripe pineapple, supported by a subtle undertone of oak spice, butter, and lemon meringue. The palate entry is soft and supple, leading to a rounded, textured mid-palate with notable weight. The well-judged use of oak adds dimension without overpowering the wine’s core fruit. Flavours of citrus, yellow apple, butterscotch, and dried pineapple unfold in succession, guided by a fine, balancing acidity. Great length of flavours on the finish, completing a wine with a layered structure and poised integration of fruit and oak.

A blend of 60% Pinotage, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 5% Roobernet

TASTING NOTES (August 2023)
Dense ruby hues, with fragrant aromas of plums, black cherries and black fruit pastilles, and an underlying hint of vanilla paste. The soft, velvety tannin structure and delicate nature of this wine is indicative of the elegance of the 2021 vintage. The balanced acidity adds freshness, while the palate is filled with flavours of red currants, cinnamon and mulberries. The integrated new oak characters is in perfect unison with the fruit
spectrum.

TASTING NOTES (August 2022)
Alluring aromas of cinnamon, cherries, wild strawberry, raspberry and cedar wood dominate the nose. The wine has a delicious, juicy fruit profile with complex flavours of ripe plums, black cherries, nutmeg and cloves. The ripe tannins are well integrated and complement the elegant nature of the wine. Flavours of cranberries on the aftertaste, with a long, dry finish.

Opaque crimson-red hue, with charming aromas of dark cherries, graphite, black pepper and fresh herbs, followed by an underlying savoury/umami tone. The palate is plush, with integrated new oak nuances and very fine, delicate tannins. An elegant and classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon with a satisfying balance between fruit and oak, and persistent flavours of buchu and blackcurrants on the finish.
