TASTING NOTES
An unique expression of Pinotage with delightful pale copper hues. This wine opens with aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red apple skin, and a hint of white peach. The soft, rounded mouthfeel carries excellent palate weight, delivering a seamless transition from nose to palate. Flavours of red apple, peach, cherry, and berry fruit are held in harmony by a balanced acidity. The finish is both lingering and vibrant, marked by notes of fresh red apple, a subtle cinnamon spice, and plush cherry fruit. Refreshing and elegant, with lots of finesse and fruit purity.

TASTING NOTES
The Duke Merlot 2024 has a dense ruby-red colour, with an intense nose of raspberry, plums, oak spice, savoury bacon rind and smoky, beefy notes. The palate is dry and structured, showing fine granular tannins and flavours of berry compote, spice, and cured meats, supported by hints of fresh herbs and tomato paste. Well balanced, with a vibrant acidity, and finishing dry with lingering flavours of tart berry fruit.

The nose is layered and expressive, offering vibrant notes of raspberry, cherry, blueberry, and ripe purple plum, backed by hints of spice, earthy undertones, and a gentle touch of oak. The palate is soft and juicy on entry, mirroring the nose with a generous flow of plush red and purple fruit. Bright acidity lifts the wine, while fine, ripe tannins provide structure and mouth-coating grip. It finishes dry, with lingering flavours of cherry and subtle spice. A confidently crafted Pinotage that seriously overdelivers for its price.
